networking win98

our network consists of win 2000 servers. my question is a
2 part. the clients are anything from win 95 to win xp. 1.
can netbeui be disabled all together on the client
machines, and 2. is wins needed for win 95 and win 98??

1. Yes, you can remove NetBEUI as it is NOT necessary if you also have
TCP/IP installed. Unless you have a "need" for it, get rid of it.

2. WINS is not necessary for any Windows version, but it is very helpful and
I would recommend it.
