Networking TCPIP

Is there a way in Windows XP to have 2 TCPIP configs on the
same network card? Here's what I mean. When a user has
their laptop plugged into the office network, I need a
static IP, Gateway, DNS, etc. to access our network. When
they are outside of our network at home, or in a hotel, or
a satellite office, they need DHCP. Is there a way when
the machine boots and the user logs on to tell TCPIP what
to use? They either log onto a domain in the office or
they log on locally outside of the office.
Thanks
Keith

Try going into the properties sheet for your network connection, then to
TCPIP and properties again. If you set make the settings on that page for
DHCP supplied information (or if it allready is) you will see a tab for
alternate configuration. Set that to the office configuration and see how
it works.

Good Luck,
Len

You could setup multiple system profiles. THat way, when
you boot up, you can choose the profile you need for that
particular place with the particular IP address settings.
