Networking on Macintosh or EMAC

Hi,

I have a problem in Macintosh when WindowsXP Pro is
connected
to network. The macintosh server gets hangs and some of
the MACintosh workstation also hangs. Why on WindowsXP
does not have Apple Talk Protocol like windows 2000? Any
solution?
