Networking and a scanner

I have looked all over to find out how to add other
hardware to my small homeoffice network (both laptops
running Win XP Pro) I did a network bridge thru the
cable modem and the router. Now I am stuck. Can anyone
help?

Windows has support for sharing files and printers. It has
no support for sharing other hardware, such as scanners.
Some scanners include software for sharing, and you may be
able to find third-party software for sharing scanners, but
Windows has no such support.
