networking a dos drive in xp

On my old core 2 duo processor machines i have been able to network a dos
drive with net beui but i have recently bought 3 machines with core 4
processors and the latest xp release being the only diference and when i load
net beui i still can't see my dos drives can anyone help me out

The kind of processor (such as dual core or 4 core processor) is a moot point.

There is no such thing as a "DOS drive". It is a hard disk that uses FAT partitioning
schemes such as FAT32.

Don't use NetBEUI. Use TCP/IP only (NetBIOS over IP).
If you use NetBEUI you have to make sure it is bound to the NIC properly and the primary
protocol.
