Hello,
since I bought a new computer (Intel Duo Core Processor, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA
7600 GT graphics card, latest driver), I have the following problem
under Windows XP: Whenever a DOS application tries to switch into a
full-screen DOS graphics mode, an error message appears "The NTVDM CPU
has encountered an illegal instruction" (see example in attachment).
This is independent on which DOS graphics mode is tried to use. Text
modes work in window and full screen, however, also different types of
text modes.
As I bought the new dual core processor and graphics card together, I'm
not sure what exactly causes the problem; but on another machine with
NVIDIA driver, the DOS full screen graphics mode works fine.
-> Any advice or ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Olaf
