network wizard Error " Spooler Subsystem App. "

I get the Spooler Subsystem App error when setting up a
network useing the wizard on my computer. I hit okay
send the error report then click finish and my network
worked. However when I go and try to share my internet
connection (Dial up ISP) the second I click share, my
network dont work anymore. It dont matter if I connect
or not, when I click that little box to share my dial up
ISP my computer drops of my network. Now the other
computers stay on.

The odd part is I'v had this working before.. Infact
yesterday.. I don't know whats going on.

When I run the wizard I tell it that i dont have a ISP,
then I set the name of my computer, and then the Worgroup
name(All computers Do have the same workgroup name) then
click next, this is when I get the error. It goes away I
click finish and BAM I can use the network on all the
computers, from all the computers... Then I go to Network
connections and right click on my dial up box, go to the
same tab with the firewall option and turn on shared
connection and as I said before, my computer fails off
the network alltogether.

More information, the second I take off the internet
connection it works again, but the whole point of this is
to share my ISP with my other computers and my laptop...
Please=) any ideas.

Greetings Hunter,

Try disabling the XPs firewall then run the Network Wizard again and see if you get the Spooler Subsystem App error. I have yet to discover the error and how to fix it. If disabling the XP's firewall doesn't work, they try stopping the spooler service before running the networking wizard.

Here's how to disable the spooler service.

1. Open a command prompt window.

2. Stop the spooler service by typing "net stop spooler" (without quotes) and hit the ENTER key.

3. Run the networking wizard.

4. Restart the spooler service by typing "net start spooler" or rebooting the machine.

Let us know how it works.

You guys all have the same problem as me - I set up 2 win XP machines on a router to share files and broadband connection. It worked at first, then never again. I can get both machines online, but can't share files. I'm getting the Spooler Subsystem app message each time I run the network wizard.
Is there a microsoft wizard out there who can help?
