We use logon script to connect to the network shares. Sometimes when user
logon they cannot se the network shares in the Windows Explorer. But when
they browse from ex. Word or Excel they can se all the network shares. We
have Windows 2003 servers and Windows XP SP2 clients.

What do you get when you do this on a problem machine:
- Click Start / Run / cmd {OK}
- Type this command:
net use {Enter}

Thank you for your answer.

You can se all shares mapped including those that are missing in the Windows
Explorer.

I suspect a virus that has damaged Windows Explorer.
Do you experience the same phenomenon when using
"My Computer"?

We have the same problem when using the "My Computer" and I don't think we
have virus on this pc:s bescause after a few reboot, a few days or weeks the
shares comes upp and everything is OK.

We have the same problem here. It just happens at random. the only thing I
can put it down to is network congeation. I'm am also trying this to see if
it helps. ( see article 305293
