Network Share connection issue

I have an issue where users are losing connection to a network share
caotaining a database file the work in conjuction with our agency manament
system. I thought at first that the issue was time related. However after
resolving the time-sync issue user are still losing connection to the share.
What else should I be looking for?

What operating system is the server running? If XP, there is a connection
limit, and a autodisconnect timeout.

If Windows 2K, or 2K3, I believe there is still an autodisconnect timeout.
