Network setup

I have a desktop running XP and a wireless laptop I would like to
network but I can't get them to see each other? Any tips or tricks?

Since you haven't told us what you've already done, I can't address

A few key things to check:

1. As always, make sure you only have one firewall running on each
machine and that it is properly configured to allow the LAN as trusted.

2. Make sure you've told Vista this is a private network.
