Network setup

I am trying to setup a in home network. Dlink wireless router. 2 desk tops
are connected by cable and the laptop is wireless.
I have tried to follow the instructions from MS. confused. I can see all
three PC's and the printers. OK.
I cannot seem to get the files or folders to come up on the one destop and
the laptop. I used a product called Network Magic and it was very simple. But
had problems with the one desktop running Trend Pro Antivirus. so decided to
try MS.
All three systems are Vista Home Premium.
Any links to a good set of steps to follow?
Thank You
Larry.

If you can see them but not access, it could be the permission issue. What
do you receive if you use this command net view \\remotepcipaddress. Find
the IP address from the remote computer using ipconfig /all.

I can print from all 3 systems.
When I look at users I am set up as Administrator and have all privelages
but sometimes get an error I do not have permission.
I will use the second link you gave me and see if I can get my Office file
to share so that I can edit and update files on the main computer.
Thank You again.
