Networking with a vista wireless laptop to a XP wired computer

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a small home network but the help files on the computers
aren't helping me.

I have a computer (running on XP SP2) wired into a router (which is also
wireless) and I have wireless laptop which is running Vista (Home premium).

Can anyone tell me how I set up this network so that I can access the drives
on the either computer?

1. Make sure both computers receive IP address from the router.
2. Enable file and printer sharing on both computer.
3. Make sure they can ping each other.

These how to may help too.
