Network Properties Disabled

L

Léonard MOR

Hi,

Have a HP PC with W2K Pro + SP4 installed that works fine. I wish to be able
to change the network parameters but notice that, even when connected as the
administrator to the local domain, the Properties button on the Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) is disabled.

Suspect that there has been collateral damage following a virus attack
although a virus scan shows that the PC is now clean.

Presumably a key in the registry has been modified. Does anyone now how to
edit and change the registry value?

Thanks in advance,
Len

Use the Group policy editor
%windir%\system32\gpedit.msc
User Config\Admin Templates\Network\Network Connections

Set them all to not configured then from a command prompt;
gpupdate
