network Printing with Multiple users on one machine

Is there a way to set the network printers on a windows
2000 machine so that each user does not have to establish
a network printer when they log in. I have 1000 different
users using a 100 lab machines.

Establish Local Printers either by using a Local Port
with the UNC path to the shared printer as the port name
or an LPR port to the shared printer(which I recommend).
A local Printer will carry across all users profiles that
log into that machine.

Setup a TCP/IP printer while logged in as an admin. This
printer will be available to everyone.
