Network Printer

Hi
I am trying to set up so i can print on my printer which is connected to my
pc from my laptop. I have just set up wireless iinternet, is this the same as
a network or will i have to set up a network from new? (a friend set up the
internet for me so not sure how it was done)
When i go through the printer wizzard it detects what i think is my network
however it doesnot find the printer, if i try it on my main pc which the
printer is plugged into it finds it straight away.
I have turned printer sharing on and configured my firewall both computers
are on what i think is my network (named mshome) so i am not sure what to do
Any help would be appreciated

Go to the PC with the printer on it.

From the Control Panel, click on Printers & Faxes, then right click the
printer in question and select Properties.

Click on the Sharing tab. Make sure there is a check mark in SHARE THIS
PRINTER... and that the Shared Name has no spaces or illegal characters in
it (like * or \)

Click on Apply.

Now go back to the notebook and use the Add Printer Wizard. It should now
find the printer.

My printer is shared and the name is just office however my laptop still
cannot find it. I can install it on my pc as a network printer but the laptop
will not detect it.
I have wirless internet will that work as a network as well or do i need
something different?

To exactly what is the printer connected... I thought you said it was a
local printer on your other PC?
