network printer placed on lpt1?

Peer to peer networking .. share machine Win XP Pro SP1
sharing a Konica KL-3015, when added on the client machine
(also winXP pro) instead of being on port
\\charlottexp\konicaps or \\charolttexp\konicapcl it
places it on LPT1 and no network ports are listed ... have
tried 1.)browse to the share machine and add by double
clicking 2.)add by "add printers wizard" ... does this on
two different client machines also tried to NET USE LPT2
\\charlottexp\konicapcl to map to lpt 2 then installed on
lpt 2 .. cant get a print out of it this way ... any
insite on this one ? havent seen anything in the KB
if it helps the printer is installed on LPT1 on the share
machine and the property pages of the client machines look
exactally like the page on the share machine except the
Advanced tab is completely grayed out.. also the icon on
the client machines are of local printers and not the
network printer icons (with the cable underneath) no
problems mapping this printer in dos though... i have
\\charlottexp\konicaps mapped to lpt3 and
\\charlottexp\konicapcl mapped to lpt4 for a dos
accounting program ..

thanks in advance for any help
