network path not found

I have a 2000 pro computer that is now unable to share
with the other computers on the LAN. I am able to ping
the server and other computers via ip addy, host names and
gateways. When i try and access the network, it comes
back with network path not found. What happened? Was this
computer knocked off the LAN. What is the proceedure to
add the computer back on the LAN? I have tried KNB 285182
and 269264. Both were not helpful.

thanks

What's an addy? Are we hanging out on a street corner here?

Is the server service running on the remote machine?

Also, enter this at your command prompt (cmd.exe):

nbtstat -A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip addRESS of the machine that you're trying to
map to. You can tell by looking at the net bios table if the server service
is running if you see a <20> entry in the list.
