I am running Vista on my laptop and our desktop is running win xp home
sp2
They are connected through a Sympatico wireless combination modem
router.
There is no problem for either of the laptops (there is another laptop
running xp) or the desktop to access the internet
We have a PC Shared folder setup on the desktop and in order to access
it, I have to log on as Guest with a password.

Starting today, the password is coming up incorrect. I am 100% sure
I have the password right.

Any suggestions...can I reset the password...how would I do that...can
I delete and re-set up the folder.....I need help to re-set it up..a
friend set it up for me.

Thanks!!

....Lisa

Lisa,

Login as admin
Right-click My COMPUTER | MANAGE | LOCAL USERS & GROUPS | Guest

Right-click & reset password

By default the guest account should be disabled & I suggest you create another user
instead

If one of the machines doesn't have a password then you may need to set one in order to
get the folder sharing correctly

I guess your router is a DHCP server & that the machines are all on the same range with
the firewall set to allow those to be punched through ok
