network password doesn't work

I use outlook as my default mail program to retrieve mail from my SBC Yahoo
account...Usually everythings works fine and has worked in the past without
fail on my home DSL.
The computer asks me for "Network ID and Password" an automatic prompt. Hit
OK and all is well.
When I am wireless on someone elses network (ie. coffee house) I will open
outlook and it will attempt to "send/receive". Enter "Network ID & Password"
auto prompt box comes up.
Problem: Sometimes it will not accept my ID and password...the prompt box
will keep coming up...I will enter and the box keeps coming up...hit cancel
twice and simply get an error message. Wait for another send and receive
opportunity... prompt box comes up...enter username and password... computer
will not accept it and the prompt box keeps coming up over and over. Thus no
email...send or receive.
Question: How can I make username and password authentication automatic? OR
How can I simply hit OK and enter it and have my email work.
Note: This problem only seems to happen on remote Wireless use. On my home
DSL it always accepts my username and password...although it is annoying that
I have to enter it often. I wish it would automatically do it.

When you are on your network at home, your ISP recognizes you as a user from
your user ID in outlook. When you try to send mail connected outside your
home network (other ISP, wireless or not) it assumes you are a spammer and
will not accept your outgoing mail. There should be no problem receiving
incoming POP3 mail in most cases - the problem may be related to logging
into an authenticated SMTP server. Check you ISP's instructions about
secure or authenticated logins for either or both POP3 (incoming) or SMTP
(outgoing) mail servers. In Outlook, these additional settings are either on
the Outgoing Servers tab, or More Settings/Outgoing Servers where you then
can select options to login to the server.
