Network not showing up

I have run the network wizard to start a home network. However, the computer
I ran the wizard on does not show up in the Network Places. I'm not trying to
connect another computer yet, just begin the network. I have turned firewall
off.

I also noticed I don't have a "Shared Files" or "Shared Documents" under My
Computer. Is this bad?
