I have WinXP and when accessing my pc from another
computer (2k or XP) it wont bring up the network logon
box, but instead I can see my shared files but cannot
access them as it is logging me in somehow on a different
account that i have not set security permissions for. I
have not set the other computer to remember my user name
and password.

How do i make it so when accessing my pc over the network
i have to enter my Username and passowrd before i can view
the files??? i know how to do this in 2k but cant find the
option in XP!

From the Control Panel, open the User Accounts tool, then click the option
to change the way that users log on and off the computer. You'll want to
turn off the Welcome screen so that you get a classic logon screen instead.
