XP Pro, all updates installed
I have a system that takes five plus minutes to boot. Working through System
Configuration Utility, Services I find that if I do not load†Network
Location Awareness†my boot time drops to 1 min, 45 second with profile
completely loaded and logged into network.
Every thing appears to work fine without it. Any ideas as to what it is or
how to correct this issue?

I recomand some general housecleaning. Clear IE cache, TEMP and so on.
Running CleanMgr.exe will help with that. Dfrag couldn't hurt.

I ran cleaner as suggested and it did help, a little. With "Network Location
Awarness" on it brought boot from over 5 min. to 3-1/2 min. Turning off NLA
allows full boot in 1min. 15 sec. so something else is a miss, almost loke
it's time outting tyring to load something.
