network links folder

The Server is running 2000 server. From a XP box, I go to
access a folder on the server. When I do this. I get
"The drive or network connection that the shortcut
target.lnk That refers to is unavailable. Make sure that
the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is
available, and then try again I click ok. And the share
folder on the server comes right up. How can I get rid of
that pesty error.

Make sure the server has Sp4 installed.
