This may not be the best forum for my question, but there are many
knowledgeable people here and someone may point me in the right direction.
I set up a small wired network at home using TCP/IP protocol through a
router. It works well for sharing files and resources.
Today I tried out network gaming for the first time, using an older game
called Road Rash
The game, a motorcycle racing theme, works
satisfactorily on each individual computer. However, when attempting a
networked game, the game host locks up.
I tried hosting the game on the other computer and that time it was one
which locked up. Each time, the non-host computer which joined the game
was able to play normally.
Both monitors show two competitors, but the game's host computer will
not accept any input from joystick or keyboard, except for Ctrl-Alt-Del
to get to the Task Manager.
I'd appreciate any advice or information and thanks in advance.
Fred
BTW both computers are running Win2K.
