network disconnect

I have a Sony PC RZ32G with an Intel 10/100 connection builtin that I am
using through a DL-764 trimode router.


ALl is usually well, however!! Recently I have begun to get disconnected
during a session at a random time. It requires a reboot of the computer and
the router. SOmetimes I can reboot the router and ipconfig /renew and get a
new address.

The error message a sometimes get from ipconfig /all is Medai Disconnected.
This problem happens lets say if I am in UT2004 and am sniping aways. All of
the sudden I get disconnected. It is not limited to that program.

Anyone have any ideas. I am virus free, behind a router for a hardware
firewall.

I started having the same problem on two different PC's. Every once and a
while the network just seems to lock up. It seems to have started after I
installed SP2. I know that it is not the network because one can be up while
the other is down.
I could use some help here as well.
