I have a refurbished Dell 1501 Inspiron running Windows MCE. I have had tons
of problems with it since I got it, but I'm particularly concerned about this
one...

When I run Network Diagnostics, my Network Adapter fails. Specifically, the
Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card fails in the subcategories of
DNSServerSearchOrder and IP Address. The requests are timing out. I've
talked with people at Dell four times now and the problem has still not been
fixed. The last time, the guy reinstalled the driver, but I still have the
same issue. How can I solve this? I'd appreciate any help, as I need this
computer to work from home. Thanks.

Jess.

Mark:
I have a similar problem. We are using one workstation as a "server" but in
a peer-to-peer arangement. We have our ACT! and Quickbooks files on it and 5
other workstations access the files via wired ethernet. We have been
experiencing intermittent connectivity problems that require a restart to
re-establish the connection. Tried increasing the RAM to 2GB but still have
the problems. Have run the network diagnostics and have the following results
under "Network Adapters"
IPAddress = 10.10.10.103 (FAILED)
Pinging 10.10.10.103 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 10.10.10.103:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)

Still can connect to the internet though.... any assistance/guidance would
be greatly appreciated.
