Network Connections

I work in an office where all of the computers are running Windows 2000 or
Windows XP and Windows Network. My laptop has Windows Vista. When attempting
to connect to the interner via wireless connection, it says there is local
connection. It also jumps between local connection and local and internet.
Also, if I click on the internet icon, it will only allow me to go to one
site, a site specific to my college. Our IT guy does not understand what is
happening with my system. When I first bought it, I was allowed online
access. At one point, I turned the wireless function off. Ever since then, it
has not allowed me to access the internet from the office network.

I attempted to diagnose the problem and it looks at the firewall and says it
is configured correctly.

Please advise.

Some wireless NIC or router DHCP may be incompatibilities with Vista. This link may help,
