Network Connections wizard and dial-up problems

Within the last 4-6 months I have been unable to create a
new dial up connection using the Network Connections
wizard on my desktop and laptop computers. (both using
Windows XP Pro).

When I select "create a new connection" and then "connect
to the network at my work place" (I use a dial up to log
into my companies network at home) the option to
select "connect using a dial up modem" is unavailable
(appears dimmed).

Any idea how to fix this problem?
