Network Connection won't unshare

G

griffee

In WinXP Pro, I set up a share with my cable modem.

I went to Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs/Windows Components and
there is no ICS to uninstall.

I went to the Network Connections, and the Advanced Tab only offers
Windows Firewall options.

I can't delete the connection and reinstall (grayed out).

Help?

TIA

You cannot uninstall the ICS. If you want to disable it, you have to
disable the Windows Firewall/ICS service in the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > Services.
