Network connection 'start_xxx' appears

My internet connection has started to drop out after about 2 minutes of being connected. When I try to re-connect i get the modem is busy or not responding message. I can re-connect only be re-starting the machine. Switching the modem on and off or reconnecting cables does not work.

I've noticed that a new Dial-up internet connection appears in Network Connections called start_xxx at the time of the drop out. The status of this connection is 'Connecting' at all times and cannot be disconnected or deleted, the phone number in properties is 1234

What is this and how do I fix it

I'm having the same problem i looked at the source and its coming from
cassinoplazzo.
does anyone knows how to get rid of this pest its gotten so bad that i
cant connect to the internet anymore
