"Network Cable Unplugged"

I'm having trouble activiting my local area connection. I've tried almost
everything and it's getting frustrating finding help and troubleshooting.
I've uninstalled, installed, changed configurations back and forth, typed the
same name of the work groups but still no response. I believe all
connections are in order. I have a wireless laptop and there's two other
PC's in my house. They're lan connection is active but mine is still showing
that little annoying red "X." Please someone help!

I'm a little confused. By "trouble activating my local area connection" do
you mean getting connectivity between your laptop and the desktops? Or do
you mean getting your laptop to connect to the internet? Also, "network
cable unplugged" refers to the cable connecting your network card to the
router. Are you trying to connect the laptop via the wired connection or
wireless?

Hi Dave. Thanks for responding to my question. I'm just having trouble
connecting to the other desktops. I connect to the internet fine(wireless &
wired), but not sure how to activate the lan connection. What should I do?

Well, to start with you need to spend some time explaining exactly what
you're trying to do and what you're getting. The information you've
provided is so vague no one can help without asking 50 questions which is a
real waste of time.
