Whenever I start my computer, the local area connection icon will be shown
with a red cross and it reads that a network cable is unplugged. I checked
the network connection properties, I am connected using Realtek RTL8139
Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC. The driver is working properly but what is the
problem with the connection?

Thanks for posting this, Robert. When I was having my "cable
unplugged" problem, I think I tried everything possible to track it
down. Then I replaced my ethernet card and it fixed the problem.
