Network Cable Unplugged.

We have recently rolled out a number of Seimen P300 PC
with ADMTek onboard LAN adapters, using WIN2K pro.
Frequently we are getting display messages saying "Network
Cable Unplugged" and the event log is filling up with
messages saying network connection found.

I have read on many discussion sites problems relating to
this error, do you have any possible ideas what maybe
causing this?

I have seen this occur before with different manufacturers
of NIC's on the same subnet. It seems some NIC's do not
communicate well with others and mixing them causes
excessive packet errors, leading to your type of problem.
Standarize on one type of adapter and this problem will
usually go away.

check the installation, assure that a certified cat5 or
more is in your net. Afther thiz check the log of your
switches (or whatever).

Maybe you can try to put a pci card on some of the
computers and look if the result is the same. If the
result is the same seems an infrastructure problem. If not
maybe is a faulty integrated card.

Bad cable, bad NIC driver, bad NIC, bad hub/switch, bad wall jack, bad
dogs chewing cable...
