network cable is unplugged!

I had to unplug my computer and when I restarted I get
this message "network cable is unplugged" and I can't
connect. This happened one other time but it came back on.
Previous to this, I had no trouble connecting. I have win
xp IBM netvista
Please help
 
check to make sure the cable is plugged in. it could have wiggled loose, or
it has built up static and needs to be discharged.
