I have winXP and a LinSys phoneline network. Whenever one
of the networked machines is turned off the "main"
computer flashes the message: "local area connection 2 --
a network cable is unplugged."

This message comes on over and over and over again. It's
impossible to get it to stop.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Angelo

To make the message go away, you can either:

1. Leave the other computer turned on, or:

2. Disable winXP's phoneline network connection when the other
computer is turned off. To disable the connection, open the Network
Connections folder, right click the connection, and click Disable.
Re-enable it when the other computer turns on.
