Network backup solutions??

In XP I used NTBackup to provide daily, weekly and monthly backups of my
network's various drives data. Vista doesn't seem to support the backup of
network drives (or if it does, I don't see how to make it work).

In Beta2 Genie-soft's Genie Backup Manager 7.0 worked fine, however it
crashes everytime in RC1 and in my newly installed 5728 build.

Does anyone have a solution, 3rd party offering or work around? Anyone have
an idea why the functionality of NTBackup was nerfed in Vista? I can
understand providing a simple interface for local system backup, but why take
away the ability to backup what you want/when you want?

David,

I've spent about a hour reading the help files and I don't see any method
that allows me to backup my network drives using Vista's Backup program. I
would REALLY appreciate it if you could provide a bit of information on how
you are able to accomplish this.

I get options to backup my local drive only, none of the network drives show
and I don't see any options to pick your own files. When presented with a
list of drives to backup, only my local drives show. On the next screen you
are only presented with a wash list of: Pictures, Music, Video, etc. No
option to pick folders or particular files.

The help file doesn't mention network files/drives at all. So how are you
accomplishing this?

If you can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Forget the post above. I just re-read your response. I don't want to backup
files TO a network. I want to backup files that are on a network to my local
hard drive.
