Netscape works IE6 Doesn't?

When I go to
http://tw.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Support/Driver/Driver_List.htm in
Netscape and select my mainboard the correct drivers are selected. However
when I do the same in IE6 nothing happens. I assume this is due to the Java
script? Try it!
I am running Windows XP Pro on a standalone computer with Norton Internet
security 2005. I have tried various things (ie turn off Norton) with no
success. This has been happening for over a year and happens on more than one
computer even after a new clean installation. Any ideas?

Which specific board are you choosing? I've picked a couple using IE6 on XP
Pro SP2 and it spits up a list of downloads for each one fine.

The board is not important as I have obtained what I want by using
Netscape(actually GA- PE1000-ProG). There are drivers there when the page is
opened but these do not change when different boards are selected in IE6 (and
are therefore not correct) but they do change in Netscape.
I am also running SP2 on both my computers which are similar in setup but
not exactly the same. The other computer can also use Firefox as browser and
this also works fine, but using IE6 on this computer doesn't.
On Netscape and Firefox the 'By Model' combobox lists 20 boards at a time
whereas the IE6 only lists 11 at a time.(This also seems to be a significant
difference)
I should also point out that I don't normally have problems and none I can't
usually solve. However this one has been bugging me for a long time.
If yours works fine it must be something done in set up on both my computers
although the other one was set up by some one else.

Looking at the drop downs, all of them in the By Model section have varying
numbers of items, the 7xxx-RZ drop down has 11 items (which is what is in
the Javascript in the source code), all the others have more.

I picked your board (GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G, I assume that's right as you have
the 8I bit missing) and the driver list did change as expected in IE6 on my
PC - version is shown as 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp-sp2-gdr.050301-1519 in Help.

Many thanks for your interest. Sorry you are correct my board is a
GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G. My IE6 version is exactly the same as yours. I am not
unfamiliar with programng but I have never looked at Java/html. I have tried
various settings in the Tools/Internet Options/Security Privacy and Advanced
but to no avail,it is now set back to default. I now suspect some other
common program on my systems, but who knows! Thanks for your interest I'm
pleased your system works at least it shows the problem is mine.

The drop down system uses Javascript. It's possible that something outside
of Internet Explorer is preventing it from running correctly. I'd suspect
Norton Internet Security (even when off as it may have adjusted some IE
registry settings), do both machines run this?

Yes both systems use Norton. I have suspected it for a long time but never
found a cure. I have always used Norton and found it fine at protecting my
systems but over the years it has produced other problems. Sometimes I can
find a cure sometimes it requried a reinstall but not for years and this
system has just had a complete
clean reinstall of Windows etc about 2 weeks ago after a memory module
failure.
I'll just have to use Netscape!
