IE6 and Zone Alarm

I have Zone Alarm and when I start IE6 Zone Alarm asks me
if I want to give WINDOWS Explorer (explorer.exe) access to
the internet. If you say no IE6 will not work. I've tried
re-installing and repairing IE but same thing happens.
I ran AD-Aware, Norton 2004, Pest Control and no viruses or
trojans show up. Netscape 7.1 runs OK. Does anyone know how
I can fix this?

Hi......I also have ZoneAlarm Pro v4. You need to give Internet Explorer
permission to access the internet. (IEXPLORE.EXE) Windows Explorer
(EXPLORER.EXE) does not need access permission normally, for Internet
Explorer to work.

For some reason, probably newsletters with ads stored there, Windows
Explorer does ask for permission to access the web when I click on something
in Windows Explorer. I don't give permission, and it goes away. I have
IE6SP1. WIN98.

If you can't resolve the problem in your Program Control tab in ZAP, go to
ZoneLabs Community Forums, register, and post a message. Someone (the
regulars) will answer your post soon. I find the Zonelabs Forums very
helpful. Lots of useful information about your ZAP firewall. Hope this
helps. charlie R
