We have a bizarre problem on one of our laptops. The Netlogon service is
missing from the services list and appears to be toast.
We re-installed the 'Client for Microsoft Windows' and that got the
Netlogon service back.
We're still having some issues with it working cleanly (obviously, whatever
it was that nuked Netlogon in the 1st place still exists).
I guess my question is has anyone else experienced this and what kinds of
things can remove/destroy the Netlogon service? I didn't know if there
were any known vulnerabilities or incompatibilities with non-Microsoft
software that might cause this (or were known to cause this..).
Also, any suggestions on other things that might need to be cleared up or
re-installed to make this all behave better?
Thanks!
