Netlogon Event 5513

B

Bob Dear

After Win2k AD server crashed and was reconfigured, my
Win2000 and XP clients generate Event 5513 Netlogin
error. Ive added the computer names to Computer in my AD
but it did not stop errors. If I change Network Id at
user computers, I will lose their local settings. Any
ideas?

You could copy their profiles to the default profile and then remove and
re-add them to the domain. You could also just rt-click the computer
accounts and reset it.

BUT....If you "reconfigured" your domain, such as with a brand NEW install
(and not a proper restore of the old one), then these machines are no longer
part of that domain since that domain is gone and would have to be disjoined
then rejoined. Try the profile thing above to try to save them.
