Trusts/SIDs

I recently had a drive failure of one of my win2k server
boxes. I only had data going on to the backup and have
lost all the user accounts.. After the rebuild I
recreated the user accounts and also used netdom to add
the workstations back. I keep getting the following
events (and also the odd logon failure on the
workstations.. all xp)

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5513
Date: 27/01/2004
Time: 10:33:49 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SRV01
Description:
The computer WKS01 tried to connect to the server \\SRV01
using the trust relationship established by the RKY
domain. However, the computer lost the correct security
identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfigured.
Reestablish the trust relationship.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5722
Date: 27/01/2004
Time: 10:22:14 AM
User: N/A

Description:
The session setup from the computer WKS02 failed to
authenticate. The name of the account referenced in the
security database is WKS02$. The following error
occurred:
Access is denied.

Is there any way of fixing this other that going to each
workstation and remove/add them to the domain and then
copy the old profile onto the new one?

Thanks,

Unfortunately the profile are based on SIDs and since the domain is new and
the users are new then you have to rejoin the workstations to the domain.
Although impractical for a large number of users you can retrieve the
documents from the old profiles on the local machine. Look at the
profilelist registry entry.
