Netlog on error

E

Eric

Iam connecting a Win98 PC to a Win2k workstation via
workgroup. Can connect Win2k to Win98 but not Win98 to
Win2k. I receive the following error:

You must supply a password to make this connection:
Resource: \\computername\IPC$

When I attempt to turn on the net logon service I get an
error: Windows could not start net logon on local
computer; error code 3095.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The current logged on Windows 98 user account is not valid on the W2K
system. So either create a local username/password that matches the logged
on user on the Windows 98 system. You can also enable the guest account on
the W2K system. (Not recommended).
