Have used disc to install Netgear wireless modem. Next step. Configure my laptop. Says: Security key not correct. When set up security with Netgear Wizard, all it asked for was a Passphrase. Says on my settings summary.
WEP key 1: Theres nothing there.
WEP key length: 0
When I try to configure Laptop it tells me to type in correct security key.
The one thats there is encrypted.
Have tried leaving it blank but it keeps asking for one.
Where do I get right one from if I wasn't given one?
Sorry but I'm a bit green on these things.

Hi,

If you turn your router over it will say WEP or PSK or similar, this is your password unless you change it, normally 8 to 10 digits long and both numbers and letters.

It says on my summary: Wireless Security Type: WPA-PSK and thats what I typed in.
Have turned router over but cant see anything like WEP or similar. It says Security Pin then a little box but the box is just blank.
Maybe I need to do it all tomorrow when my minds a bit fresher but I still don't know what to type in.
