Netbios Domain Name change while upgrading from NT 4

can anyone tell me if its possible to change the existing
netbios domain name from NT 4 during a inplace upgrade to
windows 2003 active directory ?

At the simplest level, you can rename a domain after deployment of Server
2003. However, the typical environment has so many other
domain-name-specific elements that I'd recommend avoiding a domain rename
unless absolutely necessary.

Certainly, if Exchange Server is installed in the environment, steer well
clear.

No, I don't believe it is but in any case it is MUCH better to
do BEFORE beginning the upgrade (while still under WinNT).
 
No. You cannot do this during the in-place ugrade. You won't see that
option. It will automatically select the existing NetBIOS name.
