Net Time reports two different times from PDC

David Guerrette

Have a PDC system running Windows 2000 Server. All Client
PC's are running Windows XP and are members of the domain.

On some clients, running net time \\PDCServerName results
in "current time at \\servername is 4/10/2004 2:39PM"
(correct time).

From other clients, running this same command results in
"current time at \\servername is 4/10/2004 1:40PM"

"local time <GMT-04:00> at \\servername is 4/10/2004
2:40PM"

The problem is that these clients are syncing to the
reported current time of 1:40PM

What would be causing this?

Check the clients having a problem and make sure they are set to the
correct time zone.

I appreciate the reply from Les Herman.

I have checked all of the clients and they are set to the
following time zone:
(GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

The "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings
change" is NOT selected.

Thanks
