.net Sign In not working

Hello, I don't know if any of you can help me because it
seems to be a problem only on my computer. Anytime I try
signing in messenger or even hotmail, I can't get in. It
has nothing to do with my Internet connection and it only
does it on my computer because I can sign in on any other
computer. It keeps thinking my internet connections are
messed but they aren't. Does this have anything to do
with Gain or Gator products? Because I had deleted them
earlier. Can anyone help?

nina: re gain/gator removal - most likely _not_ a factor, imo;
*although, as ever quite willing to be corrected as requisite.
