net.Passport problems

I can't say this for sure, but I'm almost positive that since upgrading to
SP2, I've been having problems using IE and net. passport to sign into My
MSN.
I enter the address which is a @msn.com address, then the password, check
the box "Sign me in automatically." I connect to my "MY MSN"
Homepage but the login times out, for some reason, and it will not connect
me automatically. I have to re-enter the e-mail address and password
again. This has become really annoying. Can anyone tell me what's
happening and how to correct this. I've deleted all cookies and temp files,

added msn, passport and microsoft to my trusted sites ... I'm at a loss.
Thanks
Dave

If I could have found the answer in MS Knowledge Base I wouldn't have posted
here. But thanks for your suggestion.

If you had mentioned that you had searched the MSKB - possibly nobody would
have offered something from it. 8^)

I'm not exactly sure what you meant, my reply to Eric was not meant to be
sarcastic, but I have checked MSKB along with numerous TechForums and while
I can find people with the same problem writing to the Forums, no one has of
yet posted a solution. Hopefully Microsoft will address this issue, and if
not, maybe someone here has a work around or solution.

Thanks for your reply.

Please quote the message to which you are replying. WIthout a
quote, it's hard to tell to whom you are replying, and even what
your problem is. Many of us have our newsreaders set not to show
already-read messages.

Hello Ken,
I'm sorry I thought that my News Rover automatically quoted the message I
was replying too. I've looked all over the help file trying to figure out
how to get this to quote auto like. I think I"ve figured out a way but not
sure if it's going to work so this is a TEST. If it Quotes your msg I'm
going to send you another one with my originaly posted message.
Thanks for pointing out the lack of the quoted msg problem.

Regards--DMB

You're welcome, and thanks for fixing the problem. One further
point: you don't need to (and shouldn't) quote the full headers
as you've done below.

I realize that this isn't much help, but one of the MS Beta sites I visit
rather regularly requires passport and if you check the "Sing me in
automatically" - your hosed. This has been way before SP2, so this may be a
passport/MSN issue that will require a bit of support from MSN. Although it
sometimes takes a few emails to them - they generally are pretty quick to
try and figure it out for you. YMMV
