Microsoft Passport Network sign-in: a popup problem

How can I get rid of a pop-up which keeps inviting me to sign in to the MS
Passport Network?
I have a laptop running XP Pro with SP2. There are three user accounts: me
as Administrator, me as a user, and my wife also as a user. When logged on
as Administrator, if I open Windows Explorer (eg looking for files), and I
click on either my Admin or User account folder-heading in the left-side
panel, a popup appears on the right side (over the list of folders/files)
with the heading "Sign in with Microsoft Passport Network", and the little
boxes for sign-in name and password, and the OK and Cancel buttons. I
usually have to cancel 2 or 3 times for the popup to go away. If I am not
connected to the Internet at the time, a popup appears with the heading
"Microsoft Passport Network Connection Error". If I click on my wife's
account heading, the popup doesn't appear. And if I am logged on as a user
(and go into Windows Explorer) there is never any popup.

I have a Hotmail account and thus a MS Passport name and password - which I
use only when actually at Microsoft websites. I do not use MSN Messenger or
other such things.

Why is this "Sign-in... " popup appearing when I'm in Windows Explorer? It
is bizarre and extremely irritating. How can I stop it?

Hi,

I got the same problem, if you got the solution. Please let me know. I
search online, some of the result said. It may be problem on MS money
setting. If you had MS money, you may try to change some of the setting.

Thank you
