I recently installed .net Framework 1.1 on my XP Pro system and now the
WELCOME screen comes on wanting me to LOGIN. It shows that I am the only
user on the computer and this screen never came on before the installation of
..net framework 1.1 How do I bypass this welcome screen? Immediate replies
would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Go to Windows Update and install the updates for .Net 1.1 and that will
solve your problem.

..net creates a account that is not shown on Welcome Screen that;so why you have to click your account because actually there are two accounts.
To bypass the screen :
Start > Run > control userpasswords2
Uncheck User must enter a password....

All the OP has to do, as Malke said, was go back to windows update and
install the update for .Net 1.1
