Is any version of the .NET Framework included in Windows XP or SP2?

Thanks,

Hi Leslie,

The .NET framework is not installed with Windows XP or SP2. But you can
have it installed on you machine through Windows Update.

I remember that the WinXP SP2 CD from MSDN subscription come with .NET
runtime(don't know which version, because I'll have to install v1.1 for
VS2003 anyway later during installation, I didn't bother to install it).

It's on a seperate DOTNETFX folder, and not installed by default.

Carl,

Thanks for the follow-up.
